The most expensive engine is the wrong one. Before you order, gather the details below. With them, we can confirm compatibility in one reply instead of a week of back-and-forth.
1. Your 17-digit VIN
The VIN tells us the exact model year, trim, market and often the original engine and transmission. It is on the driver-side dashboard (visible through the windshield), the driver door jamb and your registration.
2. The current engine or transmission code
Two engines with the same displacement can differ in sensors, timing components and mounts. Look for the code stamped on the block (for example K24A, EJ205 or 2AZ-FE), or on the transmission tag (4L60E, 700R4).
3. Drivetrain and emissions details
Note whether the vehicle is FWD, RWD or AWD, manual or automatic, and whether it is a California-emissions model. These affect accessories, sensors and the ECU.
4. What you plan to reuse
Tell us whether you will transfer your intake, harness, sensors and accessories. JDM units vary in what is included, so we will tell you exactly what comes with the engine you are buying.
Send a fitment request and we will confirm it for you.
