JDM F20C Engine

This is a used Japanese-domestic-market (JDM) engine. JDM powertrains are removed from vehicles in Japan, where strict vehicle-inspection rules mean cars are often retired with lower mileage than comparable North American units.

Before you order

• Confirm fitment. Send us your 17-digit VIN and current engine code and we will confirm compatibility before the unit ships.
• Check what is included. Ancillaries (intake, wiring harness, ECU, sensors, accessories) vary from unit to unit. Ask us for photos and an exact parts list for the engine you are buying.
• Plan the install. Use a licensed repair facility to keep the warranty valid.

Installation recommendations

• Transfer your original sensors, intake manifold and harness where the North American ECU expects them.
• On Subaru, Honda and Nissan engines, swap over your original cam gear and crank trigger wheel to keep factory ignition timing.
• Replace the water pump, thermostat, timing belt or chain kit, front and rear main seals and spark plugs before installation.
• Refill with fresh oil and coolant rated for Canadian winter conditions.
